Worrell Harvesting are currently recruiting for the following full time positions:

Forest Manager
 
The Role The successful candidate will be required to manage the purchase of private standing timber, source new customers, carry out site surveys, mapping of new sites (Google Maps) manage the efficient harvesting, extraction and haulage of timber, carry out regular site inspections, control stock volumes on the forest floor and road side, and create site plans and effectively co-ordinate machine movement, machine operators and drivers. The ideal candidate should be a team player who can promote our new efficient biomass harvesting methods, liaise with new and existing customers, prepare contracts, procedures, and documentation relating to sites including harvest management plans, risk assessment & hazard identification as well as the preparation of paperwork for submission to the relevant authorities.

Requirements

  • A relevant third level qualification or qualification by experience
  • Full clean driving license
  • Excellent communication, administration and organisational skills
  • Good time management and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Self-starter who is flexible and can manage their own time and workload.

Suitable applicant would be based in the Midlands but must be prepared to work all over the country. Company van and phone will be supplied. Estimated start date in early January.

Full Time Mechanic

The role

This role involves carrying out the maintenance of equipment and machinery throughout the business. This includes both planned maintenance and also unscheduled maintenance/repairs. The successful candidate will be proficient in all aspects of maintenance including inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, major component rebuilds/replacements, and repairs to electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, mechanical, suspension and air/brake systems. The candidate should have experience with construction, forestry or agricultural equipment experience and have some welding experience

Requirements

A relevant third level qualification or qualification by experience

  • Experience working on HGVs and s essential
  • Be fully qualified as an HGV motor mechanic or qualified by experience
  • Should have 3+ years’ experience in all aspects of vehicle servicing and diagnostics.
  • Be capable of producing quality work in a busy fast paced environment.
  • Have a flexible approach and be willing to work overtime or in offsite locations if required.
  • Be knowledgeable of requirements surrounding commercial vehicles & CVRT testing
  • IT Literal and be able to record and document maintenance, repair works, 12 weeks checks, service records and keep a vehicle maintenance schedule
  • Hold a full valid driver’s license, full clean C Driving License desirable but not essential
